My old BT set of walk about phones with ans machine were looking bit tired so I looked round for a replacement. My first pick was a BT diversity set but the views on Ciao were all bad so I kept looking, The Verve 450 series caught my eye next because of its good look (glossy black finish)and feel (substantial weight and size) so after taking a careful look at the features and testing out the feel of the thing I took a chance and bought it,and Im ... ...of phone.
Being a BT phone there is a BT button giving instant access to several BT services at a single click, these include directory inquiries and the like. Sound quality is very good ,as you might expect from a digital phone and the ans machine volume is quite high although I have,as yet, not found a way of adjusting the volume.
Price? well be one your toes about the price, a visit to Comet was worth the trip to get the feel of the phones but ...

We have only just got these phones for our new house phone. I must say they're very good. Much better than the old ones I had. A great thing about tem is that they suprisingly look very smart. Usually house phnes look hiddeous but i woulndn't mind a moblie looking like this. Also it's got a great picture quality and it is a colour screen. Everything is so clear on it. Another obivious great thing is that it's wireless. Moreover you can very easily ... ...saves you typing the number in all the time. Compared to a lot of house phones, they are actually quite small. Very ergonomic (how it fits into your hand). In addition, you can very easily chnage what rooms you have the phones in. Finally, I was amazed at how good the sound quality was. Bought a triple handset version from Tesco for £64.
When installing I simply plugged the lead out of my old phone and into the Synergy Base. It didn't work! Found on reading the online user guide that you MUST use the cable supplied with Synergy to connect to the wall socket. Doh! Then it worked.
Also the plastic lip under the base (which holds the power cable in place) snapped off immediately.
Other than these niggles, a good buy. Some useful ...

Excellent cordless slimline digital house phone with answer machine & loud speaker.

Available in both silver & black, both the handset & base system are slim, sleek & attractive. A large lcd backlit screen makes it easy to see numbers & features clearly plus the blue lighting effect on the keypad is a good indicator as to whether calls have been missed or new messages have been received.

As the phone is so slim the buttons have been designed to be slim too in which case it makes it more difficult to operate as there is a tendancy to press 2 buttons at once & if you have large digits then potentially you could end up pressing several buttons at once when dialling.

...I am a fan of Siemens phones. A year ago I bought a two handset system which I was over the moon with. But! we had used them so much that they had seen better days and were in need for replacement. This is where this lovely handset came into my life:)
We have to own a cordless phone in our home. If we had a wired one then it would quite honestly never get answered!! We are that lazy:(
I bought this phone in Swansea market at a phone store Brand ... ...use. Soooo our lovely old Siemens still had a days use to go! aww poor things. We really do over use our phones. A family of 6 and free phone calls..... and teenagers, haha.
Well 24 hours later our old phones were ready to retire to upstairs and our new one was sitting proudly on the table by the door:) it looked much nicer than our other ones.
