Advantages: Good styling, Comfortable to use

I bought two X3i single units one for each line in my house. They look and feel superb, are very comfortable even during long calls, and whilst the features are limited are comparable to the features offered on most other Dect handsets. Problems started about a week after I got the phones. The landline phone range steadily reduced until you had to be standing next to the base station to use it. ...received replacements within a few days; the Land line phone worked for 2 days and then stopped picking up if it was on charge so it was impossible to answer calls. The line quality on the VoIP handset was also noticeably poorer then the previous faulty handset. So basically from 4 handsets I suffered 100% unreliability. i have had this phone for some years now and have never had any problems and is still working fine i would recommend it to every one its been great. It has the longest record time i have ever had approx 1 1/2 hours so you never miss a message even when your on holiday it saves approx 50 messages. Hand free on all hand sets and even one main base. This phone is quite simply a gimmick, unless you really will make use of all its features, and don't have any access to similar facilities elsewhere. Logically, it is not worth buying a phone which enables you to email, by dialling a premium rate number to send/receive (this includes checking your emails automatically every day, on the premium rate line), when you can probably already send emails via a computer. ...no avail. I then contacted idect directly only to be told that the phones are not designed for use outside UK and that it would cost 30 quid for repair...what a hoax.. I repaired it a local Zimbabwean workshop and was told that the amplifier was put in the wrong way by the supplier..talk about quality control.
