Advantages: Very versatile and intuitive to use. SMS-enabled Disadvantages: I still get phone calls
...Red Dwarf fans.
The BT Verve 450 Twin was what we bought, although I see from subsequent price searches, we 'were done' by Currys having been charged the full BT RRP of nigh-on 80 quid and during a January sale to boot. That'll teach me to make impulse buys!
PHYSICAL SET-UP
Leaping straight to the 'leave this to me, who needs instructions?' approach we did indeed get us most of the way to a working duet of cordless phones, but that's about as ... ...the Caller ID function from BT or whoever you pay your line rental to helps as this supposedly absolves you of the need to set the date and time - this is done apparently when the first call comes in. This is fine if you don't buy old stock or buy 'on the cusp' of a new year. This can lead to your answering machine reporting the correct time that calls were received but getting the day wrong. Don't rush to take it back as faulty - it's only the manual ...
Advantages: great audio quality Disadvantages: none
Sound quality is good on normal calls and on speaker phone and the ringer could be heard from the moon so no qualms there. If you have your broadband and phone on the same line make sure you have a good filter or the audio will drop off on calls to a whisper. The answer phone is also great and can be turned on or off at the touch of a button, there is also a button for locating the phone when you leave it in the kitchen cupboard etc. Build quality ... ...lump of plastic held together with sticky tape and when dropped spreads its insides across the room like a fragmentation grenade. The screen is tiny and despite having the option of changing settings like backgrounds and display it is pointless as it has what looks like 24 pixels across. Phonebook is good and if you have caller recognition on this works really well too. All in all a great phone when it comes to calls but leave the txt message option ...
Advantages: Can't think of any Disadvantages: See review poor volume and lack of clarity
...they were poor quality, but BT still sell them at full list and Tesco prices are also now back up to £50+.
Also you need internet access to view the full instruction leaflet as BT pack only a single-sheet potted version with the phones in order to "save the planet".
We are now shopping for a Panasonic or similar. ...
Advantages: easy to use - cheap Disadvantages: some limations on tones
The BT Studio 3100 handsets - better than my last ones! I've had these handsets for about a year now and I am quite pleased with them. Although there are some limitations to their features for the price (£14.99 in Tesco's) I feel they have been great. ~~~Appearance~~~ Both handsets and bases are light silver in colour with a darker silver/grey shade buttons. All buttons have white writting/digits so they do stand out well. The handsets have a LCD ... ...think my BT Studio handsets have many advantages and I have certain found them easy to use. They have been very reliable and certainly for the price a bargain. Hope you have found this review helpful, thanks for reading x hev (also on Dooyoo) ...

Review of BT Studio 3100
Advantages: Lots of features, good sound quality, looks great. Disadvantages: It's a phone.
...with a twin pack of BT Graphite 1100’s. You can get the g1100’s in anything from a one pack (£27) to a four pack (£73) depending on how many phones you require for your needs and how much money you have. They are, however, at the lower end of the price range for wireless phones. In quick style, I disposed of my old bricks of burden and hooked up these babies. The base is circular with a little cut out for the hand set to lean back in. Both the hand ... ...used when on hold to BT for hours on my old phones. I’d transfer the call to the other handset so the battery could last. That shouldn’t be an issue with these babies, however, as the box tells me there are up to 10 hours talking time in the batteries when they are fully charged and 100 hours (over 4 days) of standby time so you can leave your phones lying around and not worry about the battery running down. Like most phones, these will beep at you ...
