Advantages: light, swivel easy Disadvantages: don't really work all that well!

This swivel sweeper is meant to be a cheap alternative to a hoover. It has rotating brushes which suck up the dust and dirt from your floor and then you just have to empty it straight into the bin.
It is really light, nothing ... ...was pregnant as it wasn't too heavy to carry up the stairs which is always a bonus I guess.
It's meant to work on all floor types- carpets or laminate... however I did find it really quite hopeless when on carpet, I had to run over the same patch about ten times before it would pick everything up and i had to press down pretty hard so it took ten times as long as it would with a hoover!

It is really light, nothing like a hoover! So it was really useful when I was pregnant as it wasn't too heavy to carry up the stairs which is always a bonus I guess.

It is very smooth to push along the floor though, it really does do what it aims to do and that is 'swivel' you can easily maneouver it around the floor and it gets into the corners easier. I guess this is what is good about it compared to a bulky vacuum cleaner, because the head of it is so small and compact it easily gets into corners of the room.
It's cordless, it runs off a battery so that's anothr plus point! You don't have to be getting in the way of the cord but then again it's also a negative point too as the battery doesn't last very long, it is meant to last 45 minutes once it's fully charged (the product comes with a charger) but it definitely didn't last that long for me! There is also no way of telling when the battery is fully charged either, there are no 'ready' lights or whatever.
You can buy new heads for it once they get too old and battered although I never got to this point as I just got fed up of it and would much rather spend more money on a hoover but then know it would do a good job and last a long time!
It is made from plastic and alliminum so easy to clean should it get dirty and is only small so doesn't take up too much room in the cupboard under the stairs! It's also quiet too unlike a normal vacuum!
it is meant to 'absorb dirt like magic' but I am yet to see that!! Nothing magical about it! Yes it does pick up dirt but only after you've put a lot of effort into it!!
I would say it's a good buy if you have patience and if you don't have much space or carpets (it worked much better on the laminate floor!) and yes it is cheaper and less noisy than a hoover...And also if you can't push or carry around a heavy hoover they are a good alternative
You can buy them from Amazon for about £20 and the separate heads from there too.
