A description
These pillows are made from a material known as Tempur (hmm, that possibly explains the name), which, according to the Tempur marketing machine was developed by NASA "in order to improve seating comfort and g-force protection in spacecrafts". Basically it is a temperature sensitive material that moulds to whatever is placed on it. So, when you lie on it, the parts of your body that make the most contact (i.e., the heaviest) give off more heat, causing the material to mould to your body. What this means for the pillow is that your head will sink further into the pillow than your neck, thereby giving your neck more support than a conventional pillow. This pillow, as you can see above is shaped so that there is a high ridge along one side- this enhances the neck support, as your neck lies on this raised bit when you use it ...
Advantages: Very soft pillow, plays the music at a reasonable level, nice novelty. Disadvantages: Not washable and so has a limited life.
I recently noticed a Sound Asleep pillow in a local curtain and bedding store but did not quite realise what it actually was. As I have spondylosis in my neck I am always on the look out for good pillows and that this was called'Sound Asleep' as it was so good.. At one corner of this pillow there is a lead which has a jack at the end, so that you can connect it to a music player. Something such as an MP3, IPOD or really any music equipment you have, that has a suitable ...
Advantages: Very reliable and spare parts are in abundance. Disadvantages: Keep an eye on the rust.
I bought my first transit about four years ago.I only had £1500 to spend, so I searched Auto Trader and found a P reg for £1450, which i purchased. I wasn't particularly looking for a Ford, any van would have done at the right price, and this one filled that criteria. It had 140,000 on the clock which was a bit worrying. I needn't have worried though as the van went on to reach 184,000 miles before i finally scrapped it about 2 months ago. During that time the van just kept running and running with no engine trouble what so ever. I didn't want to scrap it at the end, but the bodywork got so bad (rusty) that I was forced to scrap a mechanically sound and sweet running van as you can't keep showing up at customers houses in a rust bucket, when you go to price a job (I'm a builder you see).
After my experience of that van (I have had other ...
