...my only experience with the Tenchu series was one of the original PS1 titles. They were quite good, but don't expect me to review them any time soon.
So, based on what little knowledge I had of the series, I decided to go and buy myself a copy of Tenchu DS.
As I've mentioned it already, I might as well give you one advantage of the game now. The first thing I did when I got home was to register my copy and get my 250 stars as a Nintendo VIP. This ... ...Compared to other Tenchu games this is a poor attempt. The ninja rope/grapple thing (one of the most fun things I can remember about the original) is gone. Not having played the original for years, I can't remember what else they haven't bothered with in this game, but I'm sure there is quite a bit.
Despite everything I've just said, the game is not terrible. I'd have given it a 1 star if it were.
