About Tend Skin

As with any other products they recommend testing it on a small area first and if you have a true allergy to Aspirin (hives, itching) you should not use it. Care must be taken to ensure it is not spilt on non-colourfast items, it is kept out of the reach of children and it is not ingested.
Do you suffer from Ingrown Hairs, Razor Bumps or Skin Redness after Hair Removal???
If the answer to any of the above is YES then read on. You may find this very useful indeed.
I had suffered from ingrown hairs when I had shaved my bikini line. I then discovered waxing. Still the ingrown hairs and irritation remained but wasn’t half as bad as before. Then a stumbled across a snippet in Take a Break in Liz Wilde’s Beauty Lab. This is the part where readers recommend things that have worked for them or write in with beauty problems or disasters and Liz suggests a product. She also recommends a product of the week and this particular week is was Tend Skin Lotion.

About Tend Skin They say that Tend Skin lotion is goo for women and men. Men can use it on their faces and necks. Women will find it useful on legs, bikini lines, underarmas and anywhere else ingrown hairs or razor bumps are a problem. They claim that Tend Skin works very quickly and results will be seen in 24 hours.

It has not been tested for use during pregnancy.
Tend Skin may cause mild exfoliation and as a result will leave your skin “as soft as a baby’s bum!”
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE – for pre-existing ingrown hairs/razor bumps • Apply to both Men and Women • The product needs time to work on the skin • Be sure to apply to DRY skin • Apply at night before sleep and again in the morning after showering, shaving and drying • Do not wash off • Moisturiser can be applied OVER the product once it dries
Once skin clears, apply daily to maintain clear skin. Adjust usage over time to determine the least usage needed.
Uses for Women – Recommended by Tend Skin For shaving – Once skin clears, apply after shaving to maintain clarity and to help reduce post-shave redness. ENSURE you change the blade when it is no longer sharp as “scraping” the skin with blunt blades will work against the product and worsen ingrown hairs.
For use with Electrolysis – Apply before treatment as a cleanser and after treatment to help reduce redness and minimize post-treatment “bumping”
For use with waxing – Apply before waxing to ease the “pull” on the hairs. I haven’t personally tried this one yet. Keep meaning to but use other lotions that I have instead. Apply it about 15-20 minutes after waxing to reduce next-day post-wax “bumping”. I have tried this and if applied to early it can sting for a few seconds. It DOES reduce the next-day redness for me though.
Uses for Men – Recommended by Tend Skin For those with ingrown hairs /Razor bumps on faces, necks, backs of necks and scalps – Use twice daily until clear. Then use daily after shaving to maintain clear skin. Ensure razor is not blunt otherwise it will make problems worse as desribed above
Prevention of ingrown hairs – You should apply Tend Skin when new growth is seen and continue applying several times a week to stop irritation re-occurring.
Where Do I get it? It is only available to purchase from Websites (at least it was the last I knew) so simply type “Tend Skin” in to the search pane and away you go. Be warned though as it is available in the US and your search may return sites in the US too. Would tell you where I bought mine from but the guidelines say you should not include website addresses.MY ADVANTAGES
It does reduce ingrown hairs and redness after waxing
It does reduce ingrown hairs if applied regularly
Unconditionally satisfaction guarenteed so if it doesn't work for you you can get your money back.
MY DISADVANTAGES
Is fairly expensive (£12 for 4oz bottle, £21 for 8oz bottle £37 for 16oz bottle
Advantages: Soothing and heals razor rash fast Disadvantages: Expensive
I'm writing this opinion from a woman's perspective, but it applies to men as well. Also it's not really what I would call a conventional aftershave, so I don't know how women will get to see this opinion.
This product is aimed at people who get razor rash, razor burn, razor bumps or ingrowing hairs. This occurs when sensitive skin has been shaved or waxed and then when the hairs start to grow through the skin again.
This product is said to have ... ...bizarre and funny incident. Apparently a man went to the dentist to have a tooth pulled and came out less one tooth and less his painful razor bumps. A link was made between the anasthetic used and the useful 'side-effect' and thus a product was created. Obviously it's not the same anasthetic that has been bottled. The product was developed and modified from it, so don't worry - you won't get sudden numbness of limbs after using this product!! Nobody ...

...on occasions. After using my tend skin for almost two months now, I can most definetly recommend. I now use mine after hair removal only, and am still experiencing good results. I have however, been lazy on occasions and applied the liquid with my hands, I advise you don't do this! I woke up the next morning to discover my hands were peeling and flaking, oops! Please always use some cotton wool or toilet paper to apply, as while I had nice smooth ...

Advantages: really does work Disadvantages: dry skin, vinegar smell
...I bought a bottle of Tend Skin online and used it twice daily for 2 weeks. It is a solution that you moisten a cotton wool ball with and wipe over the affected area. After the first 4 days the red spots had gone and after 7 days I could actually see previously ingrown hairs growing out on to the skin surface. I now use the solution once every other day to prevent ingrown hairs appearing. I really cannot recommend this product enough. The only minor ... ...and no-one can smell it on you. Dry skin also occurs quite quickly so although I recommend using it on my legs if someone is purchasing it to use on their face they need to be wary of this.
Another advantage is that I now don't have to bother with bodyscrubs on my legs as all I do is wipe the solution on. A small bottle lasted me about 2 months which was well worth the cost (£12).
Superb product! ...

Reviews which might be of interest for "Tend Skin Lotion"
Advantages: Very light, gives skin a glow, pump action bottle to reduce excess Disadvantages: only really being the price BUT it is COMPLETELY worth the money
I felt a need to write a review on Dramatically Different Moisturiser as this is really the first face product I have ever really got excited about.
I was lucky enough to have good skin through teen years and I am now in my early twenties and only really have had trouble with dry skin when ive washed my face.
A small 30ml bottle was given to me by a friend and I will never look back- just bought a replacement and was happy to spend the money on a 125ml bottle!
The first thing to notice is the lightness of the cream when it goes on and how fast it sinks in- there is no waiting around to put make up on. I tend to put the lotion on and then go and brush my teeth and when i come back my skin is bone dry and silky smooth.
With this lotion being soo soo good, you hardly need any of it to cover your whole face so it lasts a lifetime ...
Advantages: Gel formulation, makes skin shimmer, available in high SPFs Disadvantages: price, smell, dry oil feel on skin
What attracted me at first to this sun-gel was the fact that it was a gel- I have very oily skin. However, if you are planning to use it on your face, don?t. It not only makes your skin shimmer (pleasant effect on legs, for example; but on your face it looks like you?re sweating)and also IT STINGS. This is because of the high alcohol content. It does warn you not to use it on your face on the back.
A major drawback is the smell- it really, really smells like alcohol. It also makes your skin sticky. It?s not greasy, it?s more of a kind of dry oiliness (it reminded me of body oil). I did not like the way it felt on my skin.
Also it is expensive, but then most sunscreens are expensive. For oily skin pricewise, you?d be better to look for a supermarket sunscreen for children, as they tend to have less oil content. Also, look out ...
Advantages: Really good value Disadvantages: can't think of any
Cheap sun cream just doesn't seem to exist and I spend a fortune every summer on the E45 sun cream as I find other suncreams don't really agree with my sensitive skin and I tend to turn into a bit of a British lobster on the beach. But I have found a site called chemistdirect.co.uk which sells the factor 15 and 30 cream for a staggering £1.99 and considering I usually pay just under a tenner I thought this was a really good saving. Have checked out the site in case it was dodgy cos it seemed too good to be true but they sent me some stuff and it all arrived on time and in one piece.
Would def recommend it to everyone before they hit the beech this summer ...
