I'm writing this opinion from a woman's perspective, but it applies to men as well. Also it's not really what I would call a conventional aftershave, so I don't know how women will get to see this opinion. This product is aimed at people who get razor rash, razor burn, razor bumps or ingrowinghairs. This occurs when sensitive skin has been shaved or waxed and then when the hairs start to grow through the skin again. This product is said to have been discovered by accident in what I find quite a bizarre and funny incident. Apparently a man went to the dentist to have a tooth pulled and came out less one tooth and less his painful razor bumps. A link was made between the anasthetic used and the useful 'side-effect' and thus a product was created. Obviously it's not the same anasthetic that has been bottled. The product was developed and modified from it, so don't worry - you won't get sudden numbness of limbs after using this product!! Nobody really knows how it works. One theory is that it increases the moisture content of each pore thus pushing the hair out of the pore by the excess pressure. It can be applied both before and after shaving or waxing (or any other form of hair removal for that matter). Soaking a cotton wool ball and then applying to the skin is the best way. This is a really good product and unlike products which contain AHAs, it can be applied straight after shaving or waxing and is actually incredibly cooling and soothing. The results are quite impressive. Literally half an hour later the rash on my legs and bikini line had gone and with regular use I found that I didn't get the painful ingrowing hairs which are so difficult to remove. Apparantly, the product has a slight exfoiliating effect which would explain my lovely smooth pins! The only negative points I found were; the price, the smell, which is quite strong and I which I presume is the alcohol, and the fact that it leaves the skin feeling a bit tacky until fully dry. The good thing is that it comes with an unconditional guarantee, so if you really fancy trying it then you have nothing to lose. In this case you may like to buy the 16oz bottle. If you do like it then you've saved money by buying big, if you don't then you get your money back. I would imagine that this stuff is great for men, especially around the collar line area, but I have yet to see it in action on a male. This is an american product, but it is available by mail-order online companies, such as Garden. It is a bit expensive: 4oz-16oz/£12-£37, but if you get this kind or problem then I think it's worth a try. Hope you like it too!

Advantages: Very light, gives skin a glow, pump action bottle to reduce excess Disadvantages: only really being the price BUT it is COMPLETELY worth the money
