We resided in these appartments in February and were very impressed with the location and cleanliness of the place on arrival. The staff were friendly and showed us to the room. In which the ceiling was flaking. We had to cover all of out food on the table and constantly had to wipe ourselves down with all the white dust falling on us. ...sun loungers for the time of year (although in summer months i cant see there being enough). 2 minutes from the hotel and we are in the middle of many tourist shops and restaurants and bars. Then an extra 5 minutes to the lovely beach and more bars and restaurants. All in all was a good holiday. The self catering appartment suited our needs, and did have a good time. Disadvantages: None!

My partner and I (both early 20's) have stayed at this resort twice, both in and out of the summer season and I would recommend not only the hotel but the area itself to anyone thinking of going. Disadvantages: Slightly (but only slightly) dated!

We stayed here March 2008. (Booked hotel through Thomsons and flight with Ryanair) Fab, friendly hotel. We didn't think it was particularly attractive from outside but once inside it was lovely. Maybe rooms a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Its in a central position without being noisy and loud. Bars and restaurants over the road and its a nice walk into the livelier area. ...Not much contact with reception etc so can't really comment on them but other staff all seemed ok. For any other dancers out there, the added bonus is that they have ballroom dancing most nights! I stayed at the Arona Gran with my boyfriend in June 2007. We booked this hotel due to the great reviews that it had gotten from other travellers and the 4 star rating that it has. Before travelling we had heard that there was some building work being completed on the hotel. We asked our tour operator COSMOS if they could inform us of the exact 'building work' but they were absolutely no help what so ever. All they kept saying to us was that they ...

Disadvantages: a few coakroaches, but only a few... remember to take some bug spray..

...we finally arrived at the aparthotel at 3:50AM, very tired. We were greeted on arrival by a nice polite english speaking man on reception. We were checked in very quickly, given our our AI bands and shown straight to our rooms. We asked the receptionist if there was a machine were we could purchase some water. ...apartment consisted of a bedroom with 2 twin beds, bathroom with bath shower, kitchenette (2 cooking rings, microwave, cooking utensils and a fridge, kettle), satellite TV and a safety deposit box (which we didn't choose to use). The apartment was very spacious and on arrival clean and tidy. We had fresh towels and a bath mat. On the terrace we had a table and chairs and a clothes horse to dry any washing.
