Advantages: Excuse for getting drunk Disadvantages: Shit at tennis
The only gppd think about Henman is the fun we have seeing him bomb out of Wimbledon / The French Open / USA open / Australian Open every year. Time after time he is touted as the great British hope, yet he always gets knocked out in a thrilling five set match in the fourth round. This year, it was a three set whitewash in the first round. We have a drinking game - when Henman gets chucked out uncermeoniously from Wimbledon - we buy various types ... Read review

...always wanted to go to Wimbledon and so was thrilled when my tennis playing son was awarded 2 tickets in the LTA ballot. I thought I would write a review giving my tips of how to get the best from a day at the championships, so hope it will be helpful to anyone going for the first time! Getting there. *********** I think the easiest way to get to Wimbledon is by train. There are frequent trains from London waterloo to Wimbledon station. If you are ......at Clapham junction. Trains to Wimbledon are frequent. From Wimbledon station you can either take a number 493 bus to the grounds or walk. When you exit the station you will no doubt be approached by very pushy shuttle bus and taxi drivers. They all were keen to tell us it was a 50 minute up hill walk to the grounds! This is not the case. From the station it is a very pleasant walk (partly uphill) 20 minute walk. I think it is a god way to start ... Read review

...year when I heard that Greg Rusedski had failed a drugs test. For many British tennis fans Greg Rusedski has always lived in the shadows of Tim Henman. Rusedski was born and raised in Canada but when he gained British citizenship in 1995 he elected to represent Great Britain. In truth this was a major boost to British tennis, with Henman also breaking through we were given a new light and not only did it give the fans two promising players to follow ......that final to Pat Rafter, Greg went one better later that year by claiming the Grand Slam cup, arguably his greatest victory as a professional. That year Greg had started to prove the doubters wrong, I for one had been impressed by his overall improvement and it was obvious he’d worked hard to build a game around his now famous work record serve. I think us Brits like something to shout about and although many of us were still uneasy about his Canadian ... Read review
Advantages: The best tennis player in the world when he is playing his best. Got a record Disadvantages: Not playing to his best since last year.
I think Pete 'Pistol' Sampras is a genius at tennis because he doesn't have any bad points about his tennis when he puts 100% in to his game, i also think he is a legend. FACTS ABOUT PETE SAMPRAS: Country - USA Date of Birth- August 12, 1971 Birthplace - Washington D.C. Grand Slam titles - 13 2000 Champions Race - 3 Australian Open - Champion 1994, 1997 French Open - Semi-finalist 1996 Wimbledon - Champion 1993-1995, 1997-2000 US Open - ......good on Hardcourt. Pete is getting worse since last year where he won Wimbledon the only Grand Slam he won last year. He got married, getting injured and is also getting on a bit he is 30, but then again who cares about age Andre Agassi is 32 very fit and playing well. He has had a lot of injures down from below the hip. Pete though has a all-round game he has a penetrating and swerving serve, got very good groundstrokes, and has a serve and volley ... Read review

...appear to challenge them. Venus Williams is completely firing on all cylinders at the moment, claiming Singles and Doubles titles both at Wimbledon and the Olympics in 2000, as well as winning Wimbledon this year and the US Open this year and last year. It'll take something special to stop her in my opinion. STill very young, she has the chance to win a record-breaking amount of trophies and if she played tennis all year round rather than spending ... Read review
