Advantages Advantages Good quality plain chocolate assortment

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit of a boring selection

I love plain chocolate but usually manage to avoid the siren call from the chocolate shelves in shops. Very occasionally I succumb and find myself at the checkout clutching a box of plain chocolates, secure in the knowledge that I'm going to live to regret it within 24 hours, but still convinced that I need to make the purchase. My favourite selection of plain chocolates is good old Black Magic, but I'm not that fussy and any plain chocolate will do the job. If there are no Black Magic to hand then Terry's All Gold hit the spot just as well in the quest for a chocolate fix. ~ HISTORY ~ There ... more

Advantages Advantages You won't eat many!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not great flavours, mostly nuts.

I don't get many boxes of chocs these days and to be honest that is not such a bad thing, as I would have to eat them. It's not that I dislike chocolate, but the manufacturers do insist on adding calories to all their makes. So resist the chocolate I must, but a bargain is a different matter. When Woolworth's were offering a 450g box of Terry's All Gold dark chocolates, normally retailing at around £5, for just £2.49, how could I resist. Dark chocolate is my favourite of the varieties. This has some advantages. Firstly is the health benefits…. ~Dark chocolate contains a lot more cocoa than ... more

Advantages Advantages Taste them and see. Unrivaled

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Watch the waistline

Lie back, close your eyes and prepare to be seduced. Experience the dark, smooth, succulent velvetiness and succumb to its sensuality unequalled by any other. Prepare to be seduced by Terry’s. As is now probably evident, I do luxuriate in the occasional chocolate or two, but I’ve never joined the consensus that chocolate is better than sex…but I don’t mind admitting…this brand comes a damn fine second! Terry’s Chocolate All Gold Dark is a contradiction in terms, with each bite a battle between Elysian delight and sinful decadent indulgence. This 450g worth ... more

    Advantages Advantages Easily available

Disadvantages Disadvantages Some chocolates aren't so nice

Or perhaps not! The dark "All Gold" aren't as nice as the milk ones. The 450g boxes of "All Gold" seem to be the most common size, and they cost £4.99 but often at around Easter and Christmas, you can get them cheaper on special offer. BOX Terry’s All Gold come in a square gold coloured box and they have an annoying cellophane cover on them, a bit like the covers you get on cigarette boxes. The cover is on very tight and even pulling on the little red strand didn't work. It was a job for the scissors! CHOCOLATES There are 2 layers of chocolates, some of which are repeated. Here they are, in no ... more
