If you are coming to breadmaking thinking you are going to make a Warburtons loaf please think again, homemade bread tastes and looks nothing like shop bought.
As for the Tesco breadmaker, it was not my first choice, I had been given lots of hints and tips off friends who recommended an expensive bread maker by panasonic. However i recieved this as an xmas gift, i was deeply dissapointed and left it in the box for months. I only wish i had opened it sooner. I love it.
I have never used a bread maker before, so needed something easy to follow, the insructions are simple and include recipes for dough, bread, garlic bread, dough for cakes like ice fingers, so really useful if you need a starting point to get you going.
The machine itself is easy to use, just plug it in, press a button to select what you are making, there are 12 different functions, including one for making cakes, and one for making Jam which i did not know you could do in a bread maker so will give it a go in the summer when my garden fruits start growing. The time required is automatically programmed for each function. so no messing about setting a timer etc, it really is that simple.
The instruction book tells you which order to put the ingredients in, and you press start sit back and leave it and the alarm will sound when it is done.
This machine is really easy to use. My 15 year old daughter made pizza dough in it the other night , and we made home made garlic bread and dough balls, which were lovely. I regularly use the dough cycle to make the dough for bread rolls or donuts before cooking them.
I highly recommend using the recipe for white bread but putting it on the french bread cycle, it comes out nice and crispy on the outside and lovely and airy on the inside yum. I have not bought any shop bought bread for the last 4 months, as my kids love the bread from the machine.
This is a brilliant economical buy, great for a first time breadmaker like myself.
