Advantages Advantages cheapness, rich, thick, chocolately texture and taste

Disadvantages Disadvantages left my mouth feeling dry, made me feel sick

I read some opinions on the Internet last week that recommended Tesco’s own brand of Chocolate Mousse. At 29p for a pack of 4, I thought I couldn’t go wrong and the price wouldn’t break my bank balance, so I decided to give them a try when I next went shopping. If I didn’t like them, then I would only waste pennies and not pounds. They weren’t very easy to spot. They tend to blend in with the background. And when you’ve got bright coloured fancy yoghurt pots and toffee sundaes screaming out for attention, you tend to miss the ‘blended in with the background’ types. I would have missed them, if ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap & very very tasty

Disadvantages Disadvantages errmmm....They'd sold out last week so I couldn't buy mine! :-(

I’ve often heard people say that ‘cheap’ ‘non brand’ ‘value’ products which are available in the shops are not worth buying because they don’t have the flavour of, or the power of, or generally the quality of the more expensive branded products. Well, listen up folks, because I want to tell you about another great value little item from Tesco’s value range of products. This one is a sumptuous chocolate mousse full of deep rich chocolate flavour, thick and full of tiny bubbles as only the best mousse is. This mousse doesn’t slip and slide within it’s pot like some do, it sits there looking dark ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap and chocolaty

Disadvantages Disadvantages Sickly if eaten too much

Another hit from the Tesco value range is their value chocolate mousse not to be mixed up with the value chocolate desert. The cheap packaging or the cheap price of this product shouldn’t put you off. For a mere 27p, you can get nice little cheap desert which is light and does not break the bank. The Tesco value chocolate mousse really are excellent value for money and have become a firm favourite with me. I think this is the only flavour Tesco make in their value range, its a shame as I would welcome a few other flavours for this price. What you get for your 27p are 4 pots of chocolate mousse ... more

Tesco’s chocolate mousse comes in a pack of 6 pots. They look quite nice so we couldn’t resist. It costs 75 pence so it is really good value for your money. Each pot contains 62.5 g chocolate mousse. The foil on the top of the pots is light brown and there are dark chocolate chunks on it. After opening the pot you can see the medium brown chocolate dessert in it. It is very creamy and light. It has delicious chocolate taste. Well, I know the branded products taste a little bit better but the difference in taste is less then the difference in price. So I think if you are on budget it is worth ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages A little girly for the lads

Alright alright, I guess I might as well continue on the chocolate intake confessions. My poor little lady doesn't know about my moments of weakness upon opening the fridge and since I've replaced all obsconded-with items the secret lies with you! After indulging in that triple chocolate ice cream I decided that enough was enough and I might as well expand that beer belly with a little more choccy delight. Tesco's own brand actually had 5mL more than Muller mousse and it is 11p cheaper at 99p a cup. They come in little plastic cups with 155mL in and a foil lid to peel off when you are ready to ... more
