Advantages You might get points to spend on goods, but you get better value in other supermarkets
Disadvantages For me, their customer service and response to an item mis-debited was terrible
Being a corporate giant this credit card operator seems to think it doesn't need to look after its customers.. well every little helps.. If only someone would tell that to their customer service staff!
The way they dealt with my issues leads me to believe that they are either completely incompetent or that they deliberately try to defraud customers !I ordered a bike over Christmas for my 7 year old son from Tesco Direct. This did not arrive. I tried to either have the bike delivered or my money refunded. I couldn't get any response whatsoever from Tesco Customer Services. Not a problem I thought naively, as my Credit Card is with Tesco. I called up Tesco Credit card to report that my account had been debited for an item that I had not received. They were initially rude and unhelpful. However, having sent them evidence of my abortive attempts to get Tesco Direct to either respond to my requests for a refund they eventually credited the money back to my account. They did not offer any compensation or interest on the money they had removed from my account and held for some time before giving it back. The money was barely back in my account when they sent me a letter threatening to take it away again (as in remove it without permission - which I call stealing). Accompanying this letter they sent me a copy of another customer's delivery details. This contains her name, account number, address and what I can only assume is her signature. I can only assume that they believe that this is me although we have completely different names and live hundreds of miles apart.. I am sure she will be furious to learn that they have sent her details to me and I am furious that they are threatening to take my money out of my account again for something that I did not receive. All of this with no apology and at great time and therefore cost to me.. BUYER BEWARE
