Advantages soft, fresh

Disadvantages none

It’s always nice when you put on your clothes to feel them softly resting against your skin. For them to do this you will usually need to add a fabric softener to your wash.

I have been using tesco own brand concentrated softener for a while now and I think it works really well. This softener is available in various fragrances, but the one that I favour is the outdoor fresh one.

I wouldn’t say that this actually smells like the outdoors but it does have a lovely fresh smell to it. It is not overpowering but you can smell it on your clothes.

Because this is concentrated you only need to use a small amount in your wash. Tesco also make their softeners in a unconcentrated version too, meaning the bottle is bigger and you have to use more to get the same results, so I prefer the concentrated one. It only costs 84pence for a bottle which at the moment has 33% extra for free. The bottle I have contains 750ml of softener.

The packaging is quite pleasant to look at. It comes in a light green plastic bottle which has squared corners. The clear plastic screw cap is also used for measuring the correct amount of softener needed in your wash.

The liquid runs easily out of the bottle when poured. It is a smooth looking light green coloured liquid.

Using this softener left all my clothes feeling very soft and also makes them easier to iron because the material is softer. Many t-shirts I found don’t really need to be ironed after using this softener if they are dried flat.

The measuring cup supplied with this is as I said before the cap. The instructions for use on the side of the bottle tells you how much of the liquid you should use for your wash depending on how full your load is. I personally don’t take any notice of these instructions and just put as much as I think in. For a full load of clothes I will usually use about half a cap full which is not a lot but my clothes still come out very soft and smelling lovely. If I am washing towels or bed clothes I will usually add extra because its always nice for these to be really soft. Its great to get out of a nice relaxing bath and wrap a warm soft fluffy towel around yourself.

I find that a bottle of this concentrated softener lasts me for about 20 - 30 washes which is really good.

As with all products of this sort keep them out of the reach of children and if swallowed you should seek medical attention immediately.
