The Tesco Credit Card..............
It was just over half a year ago now that I decided to transfer my outstanding credit card balance on to a new Tesco Bonus Credit Card. My interest Free period with my old card was coming to an end and there was one factor I was looking at when choosing my next card which was which card is going to give me something back.
I was able to transfer my outstanding balance from my Capital One Credit Card on to this Tesco Credit Card with absolutely no hassle at all. I made one phone call to Tesco and everything was deal with in a fast and super efficient way. The cost for me to transfer my balance was standing at the time at 3% of the money I still owed. Doing it this way would work out a lot cheaper in the end that having a Credit Card where I would pay a monthly interest fee.
The interest free period on the Tesco Bonus Credit Card was nine months, so my time with Tesco Credit Card is drawing to a close. In that time, however I have not really received many Tesco Clubcard points. The system is still the same where you get a point per pound spent but to be honest I have tried to pay off more than I have spent whilst having the card. The few points that I have had changed up into vouchers have come at a separate time to my actual Clubcard vouchers but this has come in handy to use on a different shop.I have been paying the monthly bill to the Credit Card via the internet and there has been no trouble with any of my payments. The few times that I have had to phone Tesco Bonus Credit Card up on the telephone I have had no trouble in getting pretty much straight trough after a few initial questions down via the computer system. The operators have always been exceptionally helpful and quick at dealing with my questions. The call centres appear to be based in Great Britain somewhere and they did not keep me talking therefore calling them cost next to nothing.
All in all I would say that my time spent with Tesco Bonus Credit Card has been an easy and pleasurable experience. I just think it was a shame the interest free period wasn't a little longer so I could have had more time to spend some extra money on the card so that I could of got more points through. (The way I work it is that I have the large amount that I owe not incurring any interest which I can pay off easily. Then I spend my wages as I would normally with my budget for spending worked out but instead of using cash I pay via the credit card. Thus at the end of the month I already have my wages sitting in the bank ready to pay off the credit card. A big proportion to the already outstanding balance and the rest pays off the money I have spent on it during the month thus incurring no interest but making me have Tesco Clubcard point! If that at all makes sense).I would give Tesco Bonus Credit a 10/10 but I feel the interest free period is just notlong enough and for this factor I am marking them down by one point so the final score is 9/10. This however is a great score for a Credit Card but as this is so far the best Credit Card company I have come into contact with I think it is well and truly deserved.
