    Advantages Advantages An inexpensive and efficient variable tool that provides a cooler environment

    Disadvantages Disadvantages There are oscillating fans available with both cool and warm settings!

    Reasons for Purchase ~ ‘Fanatic’ On the sporadic occasions we enjoy hot Sunny days it is lovely to come home to the cooling breeze of an electric fan! But, there are many more reasons that I have found why this particular design is of great value! Product ~ ‘Cool Dude’ This is no high tech, retro, state of the art apparatus, but, for my requirements it’s a practical little tool in supplying refreshing air flow at the touch of a button!     I work in an office with huge windows which makes the temperature quite difficult to control as in the winter, it is freezing cold, but in the summer, you get the effect of a greenhouse which means it is like an oven in our office. Last summer, we decided to get a fan which we could place on a chair in front of our desks so it gave us a nice cool breeze. We were told we could get one, but out of our own pockets so obviously we weren’t going to spend a fortune on a product that was just for office use and so we chose the Tesco DF98 Desk Fan.     I bought this desk fan from Tesco’s about two years ago and it cost me £9.99. I get hot in the night and in the summer months even with windows open I get uncomfortable while I am in bed and I need a nice draught on my face. I had had a smaller fan but I needed a bigger one. That is why I bought this one. It is a good size and it has two speed settings. I always put it o the fastest speed setting at night when I go to bed. It makes the curtains move but I don’t mind. The slower speed setting is no good for me. It was a nice looking smart fan when it was new and it is in white with the buttons ... more
