In my humble opinion, I can not see the logic in tesco wanting local conveince stores. They only have one aim in mind which is to destroy the humble corner shop. They don't like anyone else getting money, so they open these little stores, which while conveinent kill off communities. Ordinary shopkeepers can not compete with a multi million giant. Tesco are building an express store near our house, in one of the old pubs. I want to shop where I have for years, and only hope that our local shop can compete with them. I like tesco itself, but feel they should just stick to supermarkets, and not the conveince stores, as it unfair on people who have had their business for years. I buy my milk from the local shop, and always will do. It's only a little thing, but its there for them. There is no advantage for a community to be a tesco express one. They've already helped kill our high street's, keep them out of our corner shops. Taking Every Street Corner Over
In terms of value, and conveince I'm sure tesco has everything covered. Sorry for the rant, I just feel for small businesses.
