Advantages: Cheap, great taste, nice smell Disadvantages: None
...A satisfying blend of balsamic herbs and vinegar is the main constituent of tesco's finestbalsamic vinegar de modena. It has to be kept in a fridge after opening. The bottle is a lovely shape and can be recycled. The smell is lovely just like vinegar but with the herbs you see! Great idea on fish and chips or even as a salad dressing! Defiantley worth the £3 it costs in your local tescos. I am a big fan of the finest range, they really do do some tasty stuff either as editions to the meal like this vinegar or even complete meals. As far as vinegar goes health wise I think its exceptable to eat in moderation, the calorific content is not exceptionally high though....

Advantages: Fantasic flavour on a par with much more expensive vinegars Disadvantages: none at present
...the Tescofinest or Adsa vintage extra special is equally good with its distinctively rich and sweet smooth flavour, which i use for salad dressing or so forth.
Then saving my best for last i have my Selfridges 'Maletti' Aceto Balsamico which cost me £25.00 which i only ever use a drop or two of on strawberries or special dishes.
Do not be alarmed at this price i saw a bottle in Bellagio for over £100.00 pounds.
One last thing to add is that the bottle is great as are lots of vinegar bottles you can use as i do as a small vase.
So go ahead start off with a bottle from tesco to enhance your meat, fish, fruit and veg. The possibitlites are endless and you will impress your friends too....

On tasting, the first thing that hits you is the rich olive taste, followed by the sharp tang of balsamic vinegar which combined together tastes quite sweet. You definitely don't need much of this as the taste is very concentrated.
***Would I remmend it?***
All in all I think this dressing definitely adds to the overall enjoyment of a salad (if you like salad dressings) and the fact that Kraft have bothered to make this in a light version makes me very happy!
It has an excellent use by date (the one I've got at the minute is dated for expiry in January 2007 and we've had it for a couple of months) which is good as a little goes a long way and it can take quite a while to get through a bottle.
I would definitely...
