I won't be wining much if one of these gets accidentally broken! 24 of 24 Ciao Users found the following review helpful

Advantages Reasonable price, look good, hold over half a standard bottle of wine.

Disadvantages None.

As we have a home of our own now we love taking the opportunity to have dinner parties. We often have drinks, poker nights and gatherings around our house but a dinner party gives us an excuse to have a big cook up, get some wine flowing and have a good catch up with some of the couples in our circle of friends. I love an opportunity to dress up our table and listen to some good music too so dinner parties are probably one of my favourite social gatherings that we have in our home.

As we love our wine, as do our friends, we have a couple of varieties of wine glass now - just like real adults!!! We had some wine glasses that we had received from my Mum when we moved in but unfortunately some of these got broken. We were looking to replace our glasses in something of a hurry and we ended up picking up a box of Tesco Finest red wine glasses. 4 glasses cost £10.00 and this seemed reasonable enough, particularly as we could earn Clubcard points too and use some vouchers that we had.

These glasses look quite stylish without being over the top. They follow quite a simple design and are made from crystalline glass. As you can see from the picture they are clear and they hold over half a bottle of wine (standard size). The glass on these glasses is quite thin but it makes quite a nice ting if you tap it or toast with someone. So far we have used these on 5 or 6 occasions with no problems at all and no breakages or chipping occurring.

We hand wash our glasses and always ensure that we use lukewarm water, soft sponges and then dry them up afterwards and pack them away to avoid any watermarks or dirt appearing on them.

These glasses work out to be £2.50 each without using any vouchers. I think that these represent good value for money. They are a very reasonable size and the stem on them is nice and long and thin. They have stood the test of time so far and they look when set out on the table. Our guests have not noticed that these are from Tesco although I doubt they would anyway! As these are such a reasonable price I would not worry much if one of these got broken, also, they are widely available from Tesco stores or on the Tesco Direct website.

Overall I am giving these a 5/5. They are just fantastic in my opinion and they hold wine which is all they are for really aren't they!
