Tesco Ibuprofen Tablets

We always have a packet of these in the cupboard. The main reason we buy this brand is the price - they cost just 28p for 16 tablets where the Anadin equivalent costs £1.40.

We actually buy the round tablet version of these but there are plenty of other options available such as the caplets shown about (28p for 16), express caplets (£1.80 for 12), and ibuprofen for children (£1.98 for 100ml).

The tablets can be found in the toiletries section of the supermarket. It is worth noting that you can only buy 2 packets of these at a time in store but 32 tablets should be enough to last anyone for at least a few days!

Ibuprofen can be used for a variety of problems including headaches, period pains and muscular pains. I usually only take these for headaches and when I do take them it tends to be a bad headache as I try not to take tablets too often.

The tablets are sugar coated with rounded edges which makes them really easy to swallow. I usually take them with a drink of some sort just to help them go down a bit easier. I usually take 2 at a time and you cannot take more than this.

I find they work really well. Within about 20 minutes I notice that my headache is really starting to ease off and I feel a lot better. I am then usually fine and my headache has gone, however if it starts to reappear then I will take a couple more after about 4 hours.

You are not able to take these more than once every 4 hours and you are not recommended to take more than 8 in 24 hours. If you find yourself taking these for a prolonged period of time then you will need to consult your GP. You will also need to consult them if you are pregnant or if you have particular medical conditions - please read the packet carefully before taking them.

I think these tablets are great, they work well and for the price you cannot complain! They are easy to swallow and work relatively quickly. Recommended.
