...offer. Any two packs of Tesco deep filled mince pies, Tesco mince pies or Tesco Iced top mince pies for the reasonable sum of £1.50. With a price of 99p for one pack I had very little to loose financially and so took the plunge with a pack of deep filled and a pack of Iced top and the idea of comparing the two.
Packaging wise all of Tesco mince pies are much of a muchness, a predominantly red box with the pie in question posing wantonly on the front. ... ...I have given the Tesco Iced top mince pie 2 stars as it is simply too sweet for my taste, maybe you’ll disagree, but for me it’s back to the good old fashioned mince pie with a pastry top on, you know where you are with them.

What are they?
Just as the packet states "sweet shortcrust pasty cases filled with sweet mincemeat and topped with a soft icing"
These are by far the best and most original mince pies I've ever tasted. The pastry is moist,soft and sweet to taste. Unlike most mince pies these have no pastry "top" as it were, instead they are topped with a devine layer of sweet white icing. The icing compliments the sweet ... ...taste in your mouth!
What's in them?
Mincemeat, fondant, wheat flour, vegetable oil, sugar, milk protein, salt , raising agent, emulsifier, colour.
