Sometimes insurance is not about how much or how little it costs you per month and what you get for your money but how good they are when things go wrong.
We had an accident the other day with a person whose car is insured with Tescos Car insurance.
The accident was entirely the other persons fault and she had the decency to admit it.
This was to be her first error. Because if you admit to being the cause of the accident no matter what your insurance cover is and hers was fully comp they wont and would not pay out for her to have her car repaired only on our car. She was also under 25 so paid a lot for her car insurance as it was.
Tescos promised us to get on to a garage, get the garage to send someone out to collect the car which they did and rather promptly too. This of course was for their benefit too as it would b e a job for the garage.
Our car was a write off though as to get the parts would be more than 60% of what the car was worth.
Although it was still drivable. So a cheque would be sorted out. We were told that we could do it up ourselves when we got it back as although old was on the verge of being a collectors car!
We were promised a curtesy car. They give them to you for a week and then if your car is not ready you have it for another week. It was to arrive the next day, then the next and then the next but it never did materialise.
The car was a write off and was to be delivered back to us. This took 10 days to come back to us and then arrived back with a flat battery.
Tescos has not been helpful at all. Telephoning them is a nightmare.
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
I don't see how this can be of much help to anyone when you don't even have Tesco car insurance yourself, and therefore cannot give a full unbiased review of the product. Tia. xxx
