Advantages Great price, lasts ages, makes brilliant bubbles

Disadvantages Sometimes Tesco doesnt stock it.

We are currently using Tesco's My Baby's Moisturising bath with baby oil and I have to say what a fab discovery this has been on our purse strings. I have always been addicted to the smell of Johnsons night time baby bath but just found it far to expensive at times to buy especially when your looking after the pennies. So here are my reasons why I think Tesco's equivalent is just as good.

~~Packaging and price~~

As part of the Tesco baby toiletries range it comes in quite an attractive packaging and you sense your getting more for your money when you compare the size of the bottle with Johnson's. I opted for the 500ml bottle for a special offer of 99p a mega saving of £1.50 when compared to the £2.49 you pay for a Johnson's baby bath. The baby bath comes in a clear see through bottle with a blue coloured flip up lid. The bottle itself isn't straight down the sides but has hourglass shapes intermittently all the way to the middle and then curves down to the bottom, I suppose you could say hand grips to stop the product slipping out your hand when squeezing the bottle. The bottle is quite heavy when full but easy to squeeze when releasing the baby bath into your bath. The moisturising baby bath itself is blue and fills the bottle up to just below the neck of the bottle. On the front of the bottle you get the title of the product " Tesco my baby's moisturising bath with baby oil". Slightly down the front of the bottle are three points each with a linked baby picture to describe why this baby bath is so wonderful, the first one is the head of a cute bear with " I'm Kind to eyes" second is either a swab of cotton wool or a cloud which say's " I'll gently cleanse delicate skin" and lastly is H for "I am hypoallergenic". And right down the bottom is 500ml E. The bottle when finished can be disposed of into any recycling bin which is great from a environmental aspect.

~~The moisturising bath~~

This baby bath is soap free and has a ph balanced formula which gently cleanses delicate skin without drying out. It also comes like most baby products with a gentle no tears formula which doesn't sting the eyes if in contact and I would have thought most parents usually wash baby's hair while using the same bath water this has been put into so another good point. Dry skin runs in our family and my son suffers from the odd bit of eczema so the added oil in this product helps keep his skin well moisturised and soft. The baby bath has a lovely soothing fragrance which you can relate to babies smelling of. My son smells delicious after his daily baths when this has been used. All you need to do is flip the lid up on the product and pour a little under a warm running tap ( you do not need much mind!) and then put both hands in the bath and splash about like mad to produce the most fantastic bubbles for your wee one. We have found the bubbles produced by this baby bath has some fantastic staying power and lasts( here's the scummy bit) through 3 of us all sharing the same water especially when compared to the useless Tesco kiddies strawberry bubble bath which was a total waste of time!
