I occasionally buy Tesco semi skimmed milk even though we usually use skimmed. I buy it when the grandchildren are visiting sometimes I will buy a full fat milk too. Skimmed and semi skimmed milk does not have enough calories or vitamin A in it to meet a child’s requirements. A child should not have skimmed milk until they are five semi skinned not until they are 2. In a 200 ml serving there is 240 mg of Calcium this is about half the requirement of a 4 to 10 year old .
