well the only reason I ended up getting pet insurance was because my brother stood on my cat and she got cystitis because of it and it was a pain trailing an hour on the bus to take her so I looked and found Tesco was the best offer at the time well I was so glad I took insurance out as 5 week ago she got run over outside my house while we were out and was taken to the local emergency vets and it turned out she had broke her pelvis. She was in the vets for nearly a week had to have a metal plate put in her pelvis and part of her leg removed at the top but he was so worried she would not start weeing but she did but if I did not have the insurance I don't know what I would have done. I was only covered on my insurance to £2500 and I took her back on Wednesday and used the last of the insurance up so from now I have just got to pay the consult fee. I only had to pay the £50 access which I think is really good but I would not be with out my insurance now knowing how much the slightest thing costs at the vets for the operation alone it was £1600 the only thing I would recommend for the extra bit of money would be paying for the higher cover on any insurance you take out as I wish I had done because you really don't realise how much it all costs. they are really quick at paying the vets too it took just over a week from them sending the claim where as if you claim it yourself it takes up to 2 month and who has £2500 laying about spare to pay a vets bill while at the vets it simply takes 2 mins every time you go to fill a claim form in which they send off to Tesco my insurance is 5.82 a month but I well worth any penny it is one of those thins you think you will never use but you do

Advantages: I found Tesco Pet Insurance to be the best of them all and the price is very fair Disadvantages: Have to send off for claim forms mind you they dont take all that time to come

Advantages: 5% discount for online quotes, easy to apply, competitive premiums, helpful staff Disadvantages: need to get letter for NCD proof, (not available in R.O.I or Northern Ireland)
