Advantages Advantages Easily obtainable, good value, recyclable.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Really just the idea of it not being a genuine new original!

MY HISTORY WITH INK CARTRIDGES: From the time I bought my first printer, I have really had nothing but problems when it has come to keeping them supplied with ink! The brand named cartridges generally contain less ink for your money and so they need either need replacing more frequently, or you pay considerably more. My first printer, an Epson, was bought along with bottles of refill ink and a syringe to inject each colour into the colour cartridge, and a bottle of black for the other one. The salesman in PC World assured me it was easy… well it was the first time, apart from the mess! then ... more

    Advantages Advantages They were cheap

    Disadvantages Disadvantages They didn't work

I recently purchased both colour and black ink cartridges from Tesco for my Canon Pixma MP 150. They were "guaranteed" to work. I live almost 50 miles from my nearest Tesco so it was very inconvenient when I got home and discovered that neither cartridge did in fact work - they were not recognised by my printer. I telephoned the helpline - got through quite quickly but was given a reference number and told to take the cartridges back for replacement. I explained I lived too far away for this to be a practical solution and was told that replacements would be posted out with an envelope for me ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap cost

    Disadvantages Disadvantages They don't work

I puchased a replacement Tesco branded H90 black ink replacement for the HP56. It had a low capacity in comparison to the original and ran out rather quickly. I purchased a second one however assuming that they would normally be full and they are cheaper. When installed in my HP5552, the test page had excessive amounts of ink on the left of the page and faint or missing patches to the right. It's hard to explain how this can be attributed to the cartridge but there had been no such problem before and I re-installed it several times. I took it back the same and got a replacement. Unfortunately ... more

1 Star Quick review of Tesco Remanufactered Ink Cartridges by vicarofheworth 24/09/2007
I have just spent two hours trying to get any ink out of a recent purchase of this ink.. Wasted time, the printer is working because I have resorted to using the nearly empty one I wanted to discard, this at least gives me some colour I will be returning the item to tesco and will not be buying any more.

Advantages Advantages Absolutely none at all

Disadvantages Disadvantages It just doesn't work at all.

Yesterday I went into Tesco in Brislington, Bristol to buy two genuine cartridges for the Canon Pixma i250 which is one of the printers that I use. The store had no colour cartridges and so, pressed for time, I picked up the 'Tesco Own' remanufactured version of it at an astonishinglyu low price. It does not work, nor will it ever I have discovered. Hasn't anybody in an organisation as large as Tesco discovered that Canon printers read serial number codes off ink cartridges before it will accept them and put them to use? Astonishing!!. Incidentally, it gets worse when yiu get on the the ... more
