Tesco - The Supermarket Horror

Advantages There are Tescos everywhere
Disadvantages They're absolutely horrible.
I do not want to write about when you enter the store, etc. I want to write about what I actually think.
First, if anyone hasn\'t watched the Panorama programme on Tesco, let me explain. Basically Tesco was selling out of date \"fresh food\" and reheating and refreezing things that they shouldn\'t. Also, their hygeine on the programme was terrible - using food scissors to cut their nails and using a knife sharpener on a leaky drain.Enough of that; let\'s get onto my experiences.
Firstly, their Tesco Price Checker is a farce - If a price is significantly cheaper than theirs - they say they \"couldn\'t find it\". This once happened with milk - 6-pints own brand; allegedly Morrisons don\'t sell 6-pints milk.Secondly, they hardly do offers: you go round and there\'s only two or three offers an aisle.
Thirdly, their Tesco Value brand never have any offers on - even Somerfield do.Also, the fascias in the stores are enough to give anyone a headache - and it did to me.
A lot of the stuff they sell are on pallets; they hardly ever refill them, so if you have a bad back you\'ll have a hard job bending down all the time.A lot of the items they sell are damaged in some way. This is due to staff most likely throwing items onto the shelves. When you get home and open you biscuits you don\'t want to open the packet to find a fine powder.
The staff seem unmotivated and unwilling to help. They get on with it though; but the whole shop seems lifeless and the staff seem gloomy; possibly not their fault.Their shopping bags are of poor quality - they split a lot; and it\'s worse if you have to carry it home. Morrisons bags are of much higher quality, as are most other supermarkets (Somerfield, Sainsbury\'s, etc.)
There are 101 more rants I could post here, but to be honest, each would just be saying Tesco is rubbish.

More of a rant than a review. None of the Tesco stores i've ever been in have had only 3 offers per aisle or loads of things on pallets. You need to write a balanced review for it to be helpful. G. x

I agree with everything you say... it's a truly vile company run by corporate thugs. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed their online Price Check thing is a work of fiction - every time Morrisons or Asda sells something cheaper, they pretend that product doesn't exist!
