I first purhcased this gel from Tesco in 2001 for about 30p. It was very cheap but I soon found out why. For people interested, it is of a green colour with some air bubbles of unkown origin. The actual container was transparent with a silver lid. When I got home, I tried styling my hair with it. Aswell as big piles of it left all over my hair, it was sticky and didnt hold my style. All it did was make your hair feel stiff but could be loosened by anything, such as: -Wind -Water -Hands -Nothing It lasted about 5 hours maximum before most of it had gone out and I needed to apply more. Tesco styling gel may appeal to those of you who go out thinking that all hair gels are the same, and therefore get this, a pretty cheap one. This would be a mistake, because although this is perfectly good on very short hair, it has a very bad habit of making the hair settle in a big pile of goop instead of actually styling it. Liberal use of a hairdryer is then needed to keep it in place. This hair gel is awful! Quite frankly it doesn't work!it's just basically a big pot full of artificually coloured grease, with air bubbles blown into it. And that's that effect on hair- It's left greasy, doesn't hold any style and takes ages to get out. You get two colours, brigth blue and bright green. Fortunatley, this doesn't colour your hair. The only other plus point as far as i can tell is that it's reasonably cheap. However, I don't trust any of the test range beauty goods as they tend to concentrate more on the price than the quality of goods. ... more
