I have seen the limeade drink when I previously bought the cherryade product before while shopping in Tesco with my mum and never really thought about buying it. Up until recently I have been drinking Coke Zero and fancied a change so after I tried the cherryade I thought I would try this vibrant green drink as it is sin free on my slimming world plan which is great as there is no added sugar. I had never tried limeade before so at a cheap price I couldn't really say no. After the thirsty work of shopping once I got home I was ready to try the green drink just like the cherryade it made a loud fizzing noise that lasted about 5 seconds bit it was still extremely gassy. I just remember the taste being sour and horrible. However I did keep the drink in the fridge so that other family members could help themselves, they were more than welcome to.
Price For a 2 litre bottle of Tesco Limeade it cost 52p, which I thought is a great price for a drink with a bright colour and sugar free but that's probably why it tasted horrible! This price for a 2 litre fizzy drink is excellent compared to other competitors on the market considering they can be up to as much as £2.50. With the price being so low you can stock up and have more bottles for the same amount you'd pay for a top brand name.
Packaging As I have already mentioned the drink comes in a 2 litre plastic bottle with a bright green label which contains all the ingredients and nutritional information. As the liquid is almost a florescent green colour this really appeals to the buyer as it is just bursting with flavours. Which I later found to be flavours of sourness. On the label there is also a a picture of bubbles to make the product attract to the younger customer to emphasise the fizzyness of the drink.
Nutritional Information Per 250ml this limeade contains 2 calories 0.1g sugar 0g of fat 0g of saturates For me I don't normally understand the nutritional information as it isn't displayed in a simple form but on the bottle it is well labelled and from what I can see there is hardly any sugar and only 2 calories from a normal side cup.
What I like about the drink I love how the drink is so cheap and that you can buy it from any Tesco store. The drink looks very appealing being bright green and really catches the consumers eye. It is great knowing that the drink is sugar free and isn't harming your teeth when you drink it.
What's not so good The taste is disgusting and really isn't one for me it is sour and words can't describe the after taste that it left in my mouth. In my opinion the taste of the drink is really of a poor quality but this might be to your taste
Other Tesco Fizzy Drinks Tesco do many other cheap fizzy drinks such as lemonade, orangeade, cherryade, dandelion and burdock, cola. These are all at the same price or cheaper.
Overall A drink that really has to be given a miss the drink just doesn't match up to the lovely colour of it but lives up to the cheap price.
