Advantages Taste is OK.

Disadvantages Texture a bit iffy.

In many of the local Tesco stores where I live (that being God's not quite own city of Plymouth), this particular sandwich of tuna and cucumber is sold for around £1 to £1.20 or thereabouts - but this is according to the size and type of store that you would go in to, and so therefore I cannot really put a price on to it for fear of someone picking me up on it.

The tuna that is in it has got a very smooth texture to it, almost as though it has been mixed in with a mayonnaise of some description - but there is no real mayonnaise taste to it as such, but the feeling as you swallow it is almost the same. In terms of the cucumber, you can tell that it has been left to stand alongside many other sandwiches for quite some time as it is starting to have that cardboard type feel to it and it is starting to taste quite sour as you bite in to it.

But for those of you who are quite health concious, the sandwich is made on brown bread and has the following guidelines attached to it (as per the packaging/ the Tesco website):

Calories: 390 (20%)

Sugar 5g (5%)

Fat 17g (24%)

Saturates 1g (7%)

Salt: 1.3g (22%)

The percentages that are included within the brackets above for those of you that are wondering and wish to know, are how much of the daily allowed intake of each of the different things are in one serving of this sandwich - one serving being two slices of brown bread, with the filling inside of it. There is also of course the usual alert on the packet, about allergies such as nuts and so on but it does of course state on this particular item that although to their own knowledge there are no 'added extras' as it were in the item they cannot state that there are not any as where it is made may have had traces of all of the usual potential allergies that people can suffer with today.

I would have to say that this is not my most favourite of sandwiches that Tesco have made, but I will only therefore purchase it if there is nothing else really that I would ever consider buying (let along eating - and that is not very much!). Of course one good thing is that you will get a Tesco Clubcard point for having bought this particular item, but apart from that I cannot really find much more about it to rave on about. If I could do, then you should hopefully know by now that I would do.

Thanks for reading!
