I very often purchase cooked meats from Tescos. I generally buy the middle of the range Tescos own version. However, whilst on a recent money saving spree, I decided to try the Tesco Value version as it was more than half the price. Advantages Advantages Cheap, doesn't taste too bad straight out the pack

Disadvantages Disadvantages Loses the little flavour it had to start with when cooked, tastes and looks cheap

Advantages Advantages Cheap, and errr square

Disadvantages Disadvantages Flavourless, watery, textureless, and... square!

Packaging is plain - but being a value product we kind of accept and allow for that don't we. The familiar red, white and blue of the value packaging is nice and patriotic, but doesn't stand out much really. A clear preformed plastic base part for the ham to sit in, with a cellophane cover that ... more
