With me making cut backs on certain things, to try and save a bit I do like to try cheaper brands to see how they compare to pricier brands. I do not buy cheap just to save but if something cheaper is as good quality as others on the market with lower value packaging , then I will definitely buy them. This is what I found when I purchased these Tesco Value Pantyliners. At first, I thought can I really? However, pantyliners are just to line knickers and are not really as big an issue as sanitary towels. PACKAGING Like most of the Tesco Value range, these come in a rectangular white box with a ... more

I decided to buy these when I saw how cheap they were - they're 22 pence for a pack of 30!!! I only bought one pack because obviously they seemed a bit too good to be true with them being over a pound cheaper than the brand I usually buy. I have extremely heavy periods so I wouldn't dream of using one of these when the bleeding is at its worse but after about 4 days it becomes much less heavy so I bought these for this reason, just to soak up any dribbles of blood and avoid staining my knickers! The pads come in a plastic packet which is, to be honest, quite ugly and basic! For a measly 22p ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Would not appeal to label conscious shoppers.

Review of Tesco Value Panty Liners In line with most major supermarkets, Tesco has an own brand budget range, known as 'Tesco Value'. All products in the Value range are simply packaged, value for money items, aimed at the budget conscious shopper. **The Product**~ This is a pack of 30 slim panty liners that retails at a minuscule 22p. The liners are white in colour and like most products of this nature, they have a backing paper covering an adhesive strip. To apply, simply remove this to reveal the adhesive strips which enable them to be stuck onto your underwear. These panty liners are not ... more

The thing that drew me to these panty liners was undoubtedly the price. At 29p for thirty, I decided that there was no way I could go wrong. If I didn't like them, I'd throw them in the bin, no harm done. Fortunately though I haven't had the need to throw them in the bin because not only are they cheap, but they are also exceptionally good value for money. The picture that Ciao has of these in their database is actually of the old style packet, which has fairly recently changed. Not usually one for going into detail about product packaging, I thought it was worthwhile mentioning here for two ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages Need to make different sizes for different knickers

I have only just recently started using panty liners. The reason I have started doing so is that I suffer with a condition known as Irritable bladder. I dribble throughout the day however not bad enough to have to use incontinence pads. The packaging~ Comes in a white polythene bag with the Tesco every day value brand clearly shown. The packet contains 30 liners. Remove a liner from the packet. Remove the backing tape, place firmly on your knickers. These liners are not really suitable for stings or thongs as they won't remain! They are best to use with full or high leg knickers. The liners ... more
