Rubbish sacks.
Advantages Cheap price and nothing else.
Disadvantages Rip easily, don't hold well at all. Too thin a plastic.
I am buying quite a lot of cheaper branded items recently to try and save some money in areas which I think I can cut corners a little. I hadn’t bought these sacks before, so thought it was time to give them a go since they were really cheap. Tesco Value range are quite good at producing good quality items.
These sacks come in a roll which only has a paper label to hold them together. They are black in colour and there are 40 sacks in the roll. Quite a lot of sacks in my opinion. Each sack is joined together and can easily be separated from the join which holds them together. It’s very easy to just give them a quite tug and they pull apart really quickly and easily with no problems at all.
The sacks are quite thin plastic in my opinion and quite flimsy. I find they are easy to open at the top of the sack. These are so thin that when you place anything heavy inside them, they tend to rip. Not good when all the items are inside the sack and fall all over the floor. I originally bought these to put some of my clothing into to take to a charity shop. I only placed a couple of pairs of jeans and a couple of tops into a sack and it ripped. I then decided to put the clothing into more than one sack but I found that I had to use quite a few sacks for the clothing so that they didn’t rip. So I had to use a whole lot more sacks than a branded kind. It really annoyed me having to use more sacks because it didn’t make sense and I then had to use more than I intended to use.Once I had used them for the clothing, I decided to have a clear out of my rubbish for my hubby to take to the refuse tip. I also found that after I placed a few items into them, I had the same problem of them ripping. I found them a total waste of time to be honest. So I then decided to use them inside my kitchen bin to use as a swing bin liner. I found they didn’t hold much rubbish and found myself having to empty them after being only a quarter of the way full. If I added anymore rubbish than a quarter, I found they also ripped, even though some of the rubbish wasn’t heavy.
I did get very annoyed with these sacks in the end, that much so I actually gave them away to my mum. I didn’t want to just bin them and thought she could maybe make use of them. She also found them to be of the same quality. Rubbish sacks, she has used them for bin liners and did make very good use of them, so that is a blessing in my opinion that my money wasn’t a total waste in the end. At least it was much better than just binning them.I think the quality of the sacks is very poor in my opinion, I think they are not very good value for the price of 97p for the pack of 40 sacks. I know the amount is good but I did expect them to hold the contents I placed in them to stay inside the actual sack but they didn’t. They are far too thin a plastic for my usage. I think they are not suitable for any budget. Even if you are on a very low one, I still think these are a waste of money because you need to use a lot more sacks to actually carry items or rubbish, so buying a better brand would make more economical sense in my opinion because then you would only need to use one sack instead of 2 or 3.
I certainly don’t recommend these sacks, I think they are a total waste of money in my opinion and I won’t ever buy them again in the future because they don’t give me any plus points that I expect from a shops own brand of refuse sacks. These are not for my rubbish or for using for my charity clothing to take to the shops. I think they are overly priced in my opinion and they should be priced at a whole lot cheaper.I am only going to give these 1 star.
