The bigger the better - or is it?
Advantages Really, really cheap for a large bottle!
Disadvantages I need a fair bit for 1 wash.

I always do my shopping in Tesco's. And when it comes to food shopping 90% of my shopping is Tesco value products. I'm very happy with their value brand food. And last Sunday morning I though "Right, every single item I buy is going to buy Tesco value." So I picked up the razors & foam for the significant other, and shampoo for me. As I already had 2 bottles of Timotei conditioner (BOGOF from previous shop) I didn't bother buying that.
The clear, plastic bottle has the well-known white Tesco value strip around the middle with the blue stripes on it. It clearly states in red lettering 'Tesco Value Shampoo' on the front.
On the side are the directions of use, ingredients and a small warning if you make contact with your eyes with the shampoo. The lid is a white screw on/off lid which is easily opened and closed. The only slight problem I have with the bottle is that when the bottle is full and just a little bit heavy it's slightly difficult to get hold of. It would do with a little dent either side just to have something to grip on to.
When it comes to washing your hair with it, I find that quite a bit is needed to get a good lather up. Maybe this is because my hair is long (just past my shoulders). But, I don't find this to be the case when buying more expensive brands. The shampoo is quite watery. But once I have applied enough shampoo to my hair it does have a good lather to it and washes nicely.
I did once or twice use the shampoo without applying the conditioner just so I could see how it left my hair once dried. My hair usually gets really tangled up when washed. Some shamppoo's tend to make my hair a little less tangle free and easier to brush. But I found that with this shampoo my hair was still tangled and I had a bit of a job brushing it all out. However, once I had brushed my hair and left it to dry I found that my hair was soft and smelt really nice. My hair looked clean and tidy and it lasted well until the next wash.
Even though I need to use a bit more shampoo than other brands, it does last a good while. For a 1 Litre bottle of shampoo you certainly get your money's worth for £0.30p. As I said, I've yet to try the conditioner, but when I do, I'll be sure to tell you all about it!As I mentioned above, there was a warning on the bottle. It tells you to avoid contact with your eyes. If you do so happen to get it in then rinse well with clean, warm water.
