THE SHAMPOO This shampoo is from the Tesco brand and can only be bought in Tesco stores. In is a cleansing anti-dandruff shampoo for normal/greasy hair. The shampoo itself is pale blue in colour and has a thick gluey consistency. The shampoo looks like, feels and does exactly the same as the popular Head & Shoulders brand.
COST 500ml of this shampoo costs just 99p which is great considering the size of the bottle and in comparison to:
THE PACKAGING The bottle is a tall white 500ml bottle, it has a blue lid which can be flipped open easily to reveal a hole to squirt out the product. It is easy to get the right amount of product out and you can remove the lid is required. There is a white label on the front with the name of the product and a list of ingredients on the back of the bottle. The bottle can be recycled.
HOW TO USE Application is simple, just wet your hair, put a small bit of the shampoo in your hands and massage into the hair and head making sure you get it into the scalp, the root of the dandruff problem. Rinse the shampoo thoroughly and repeat if necessary. Regular use is recommended to fully combat the problem of dandruff. The shampoo has a nice, fresh and clean smell. Hair feels cleansed and soft after use but it is not the most luxurious of products.
OVERALL I can't use these types of shampoos often as I find prolonged use makes my scalp peel and also as I have coloured hair I don't want to risk using it often as they have been known to strip colour from hair. I do find it fine for occasional use though and my partner swears by the product and he uses it daily and has no dandruff. For anyone who uses a similar, more expensive brand I would recommend giving this a go as it represents excellent value for money and I think it is very difficult to tell the difference between the products.
