    Advantages Advantages Healthy!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't taste great

OK, so continuing with reviews that reflect my uni life… Now, I think it might be a common fear amongst parents who have children starting at uni for the first time, and that is concerning health!! So I came to uni, with a plentiful supply of…Vitamin C tablets!! To be more specific, they're effervescent tablets, the ones you put into a glass of water, and you watch go all fizzy! Because all students have no money ahem, we have to always be price conscious. You absolutely cannot fault Tesco on the price of these babies- a mere ninety-eight of your little pennies for 20 tablets! That's nearly a ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to take, taste quite nice, keep immune system strong, inexpensive

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None for me

I tend to suffer a lot with coughs and colds, and if there's anything doing the rounds at work you can be guaranteed I'll pick it up, especially anything chest-related. To help to keep my immune system as strong as it can be, I like to take these effervescents from time to time. Although I'm a big believer in getting all the vitamins I need from food, there are times when I'm feeling particularly run down and need a helping hand. I often use these ones, and find they perform as well as more expensive brands, so the idea is that by taking one a day I'll hopefully make myself a little less ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice light orange flavour, dissolve well, decent price, frequent special offers.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None.

Recently I have been trying to look after my health more and it's for this reason that I've been using effervescent vitamin C tablets before I head off to work in the mornings. These tablets come provided in a tube that always makes me think of denture cleaning tablets. The tube is the ideal storage for the tablets as you just pop off the cap and then put one of these tablets in to a glass of cold water. The tablets will then fizz and dissolve until you are left with a glass of orange flavoured water. This water is lightly flavoured with orange and has a quite nice taste to it. I'd firmly ... more

Review of Tesco Effervescent Vitamin C. It’s the winter! And yes it’s inevitable that you or someone you know in the family will probably catch a cold have a virus, and let’s face it-with all that running around and partying we always do during the festive season we need to keep ourselves fit & healthy! I am very conscious of mine and my husband’s health and like us to eat healthy and be fit. With busy lifestyles this is of course easier said than done. I myself like taking vitamin supplements as a boost. I was advised by a health trainer to take Fish Oil supplements (being a woman), Echinacea ... more

I picked these up at the send of the summer last year, I always get lots of colds in the winter and one seems to run into the other so I felt some added vitamin C might be helpful. The tablets cost £1.25 for a tube which contains 20 tablets inside. The tablets come in a plastic tube with a push on lid once you have broken the original seal. The tube is bright ornage in colour which makes it jump out at you from the shelf, the tube is printed with pictures of slices of orange, it states that these are for your immune system and you should take one a day the strength of which is 1000mg. It is ... more
