Advantages Its cheap very cheap

Disadvantages makes you wonder why its so cheap

Tesco's Hock is my favourite wine, it comes in two sized bottles, one is 1.5 litre and the other is 75cl. My student experiences drinking this wine have created many a story.
Why did i buy this wine and not any of the others? Well, it was the cheapest, at £1.86 for 1.5l bottle its great value and £3.90 for the 75cl bottle from sainsburys, the prices do change over certain supermarkets but only by a few pence.

I started to drink this wine with my girlfriend at the time as we watched a film and ate dinner. We found that it goes so well with a curry and also it can be used to cook with. The slight fruity flavour comes out in the food but do not cook the wine in the pan for too long as you will lose the taste.

The bad thing about Hock is, they only do the wine in white, it would be nice to have a red or rose Hock. There are alternatives to a rose which would be, in my opinion, blossom hill rose and if it were a red I would always choose Jakobs creek red.

Hock wine bottles
If you have never tried Hock-do not be scared off by the price of it as it doesn't taste cheap at all-in my opinion this wine is better then a £20 bottle from any other shop. It can be enjoyed on its own or as a complement with food. The wine is very easy to drink and I have found my self guggling down a bottle in one night without even thinking that it is wine and not a nice cold beer.

Shop around as there are so many choices of wines, Hock is a German wine. The word Hock is the british saying for 'German wine'. There is a saying about the drink which is that "A good Hock keeps away the doc!" Or so they say.

There is no harm in trying out a cheaper wine compared to others as it is still a great buy and if you are a bit broke and want to treat your wife or girlfriend then I would deffinately buy this wine.

Enjoy it whilst it lasts.

Matt

sorry for such a low rating, but i love my wine & drrrrr-ink, there was not much information about what the wine tastes like, is it dry? is it medium? what other fruits has it been mixed with? can you actually taste these other fruits, is it one of those wines you have to have a glass or two of first before the taste turns ok (lol)? is this like other german wines? sorry! xxx
