The multiplayer functions of this game is amazing, you can just drive around on a map with other people, when you want to race with one of them, you simply flash your headlights and then you can race. All round the island, you can drive people around, race against computer players, race against real people, drive expensive cars around the island and then you could always just have a long cruise with a bunch of freinds and have an awful lot of fun doing so. You can even go climbing mountains! Of course for the multiplayer functions, you would need an internet enabled computer, but even the single player mode can leave you entertained for quite a long time. Problems include, some bugs such as the game freezing as strategic points (which is quite easily fixable), game save file corruption (Back Up Your Savegames Regularly, Corruption will happen at some point), the lack of downloadable content v. the xbox 360 version, though i find that over 70 cars and bikes (including really big names such as ferrari, lamborghini, maserati, pagani, saleen, aston martin and many more) is quite good for such a computer game, and even if you have the best gaming pc around, it can still have severe lag problems with other players. Also, having a good steering wheel can improve the game enourmously over using the keyboard, a gamepad or other such input device.This game also requires your PC to have a DVD drive in it, so if you're interested in it, make sure you have one! At the current price of this game (around £20), this represents excellent value for money. It kept me playing after 250 hours. Good game even with the flaws!

Basically what happens when you start the game is you choose a player, then rent a car and buy a house and then buy your fist car. This is where the plot ends. Then you can just roam free around the realistic miles of road, and I mean realistic, it takes the same time to cover a distance in the game than in real life. You can do races, transport cars, give people lifts, assorts and get paid a decent amount. And that is just the single player stuff! ... ...to different players and their name. You can then drive towards them and start a race! You just choose where you want to race to and race! You can change your preferences so that you that you don't play players that are to good or rubbish, basically the online capability's are amazing. Ok, I rented this game as I wasn't sure about it's quality, I know that many people have written glowing reviews about this game but I'm afraid I won't be one of them. I was a fan of the early TestDrive Games on previous computer systems and liked the idea of a free roaming map with mission type races and other challenges but somehow TestDriveUnlimited doesn't have quite the apeal I hoped for.
First off the look of the game; I know it was released some time ago but I'm not convinced its actually neg gen quality. The trees, cars and houses look boxy and basic, in fact you could say they look like something out of a computer game which isn't what next generation graphics should be.
