The TI-84 (no plus) is not featured on TI's website, so I don't think it exists anymore. However all the TI-84 series are the same, just differ in amounts of ROM and RAM. The calculator pictured is the TI-84 Plus, which I will review.
Essentially, Texas Instruments TI-84+ is one of the best calculators I have ever owned. Having upgraded from a non-graphical calculator I was slightly apprehensive about a steep learning curve. However I managed to get straight into using the calculator. It does everything I need it to do and is accepted in most examinations.
One great feature is APPS. You can download them free from TI's website and basically they are applications that help you to do certain mathematical functions. For example, I just downloaded one that solves simultaneous equations for you.
It will set you back about $120.
Basically if you need a graphics calculator, the TI-84+ is great. Just make sure you get a USB cable so you can use the APPS feature. If you want more memory get the TI-84+ Silver Edition.
