I came acroos this book last weekend when I had my grandchildren come to stay for a few days. It is published by Usbourne, a company well known for chilldren's books and is a touchy-feely book.
It is wriiten by FionaWatts and illustrated quite superbly by RachelWells. It is a hardbacked, board book which makes it easy to wipe clean and youngsters easy to hold. The cover is bright purple and features a large green, smiling monster with a soft green, bobbly, padded nose. Underneath the picture are the words
"his nose is too bobbly".
Turning the pages there is then a pink monster with hairy eyebrows, a dinosaur with fuzzy spikes made from felt, a red monster whose large paws have a bumpy metallic feel, a sea creature with yellow rough horns made from something like velcro that ...

"That's notmymonster?" is a touchy-feely book meaning that for small children and babies who do not read they can enjoy the textures in the book. This book has a purple cover with the picture of a green monster on the front, the monster is holding out its arms and its nose is made from a green material with little plastic bumps, so the touchy-feely starts from the very cover of the book. The books are aimed at babies and children up to about 3, although my 5 year old did take a strong interest in them.
