Thatchers Katy Single Varietal Cider

On a very recent visit to my local Morrisons store I were out to buy a few bottles of cider for a refreshing afternoon in the British sunshine. Morrisons usually have a 4 for £5.50 on selected bottles of cider. I counted well over 20 different varieties and so there is something for everybody - provided you like cider! Thatcher's Katy is a medium dry cider with an alcohol volume of 7.4%. It is a single variety cider using the less well known variety of apples, Katy. Thatcher's describe it as light, fragrant and softly sparkling and great on its own or in addition to a chicken or creamy pasta dish. It is generally priced at £1.60 per 500ml bottles. For most people cider conjures up images of kids sitting in a park swigging from cans of Strongbow.
