This talking book CD features six CDs & is narrated by Johnnie Walker & his wife. Once you start listening to it you won't switch it off, the story takes the listener from his school days with the conflicts with his father regarding his eductaion to his first steps as a disc jockey. He takes us through his period with Radio Caroline & the early days with BBC Radio One until the mid 1970s.
His free spirit attitude & love of good music takes him to America with his family, as you wait for the story to unfold on how successful he became there you quickly realise that it never quite worked out like that.
On his return to the UK his story plunges into his battle with cancer, here his wife takes up the story & only a hard hearted person could not feel emotional on the battle he had. Just a pity that the CD talking book doesn't come with the pictures that are supplied with the paper book version. A great story about one of the best DJ's in the business.
