BHS Boring!

Advantages: local
Disadvantages: old fashioned

BHS have been going years and years and years. I think this could be part of their problem. They have a decreasing share of our disposible income and i think this is set to further decline. BHS are a national chain of clothing and homeware shops. They sell a range of products in large shops - usually located in the town centre. Unfortunately BHS hasnt moved with the times and most of their stock is very old fashioned and out of date. Stores are usually multi floor with clothing, homeware and childrens wear being seperate. Some larger stores have a cafe. I have to say i have been quite impressed with the cafe - especially the breakfasts - yummy! The clothing that BHS sells is very old fashioned and they do few ranges in the smaller sizes for both men and women. Besides the christmas gift range the store really does seem to be ...

BHS - old and dependable

Advantages: Always one local, good clean store, not bad prices
Disadvantages: Rotten restaurant and lack of hygiene

WHAT ON EARTH IS BHS? In case you have been away on a different planet for the past 70 years, BHS stands for British Home Stores. It is a retail outlet that sells ladies, gents, babies and children?s clothes. They also sell house wares but not on the scale of Ikea. Here?s a bit of useless information that will ultimately change your life ? the first store was opened in 1928 and it was in sunny Brixton. They have stores from Scotland all the way down to Staines. WHAT ARE THE STORES LIKE? In my opinion they are bright, airy and very clean. The stores I have been in always have enough room for prams to manoeuvre in. IS THERE DISABLED ACCESS? They have lifts and a disabled toilet. Like the teacher used to say, ?Could do better?. I don?t know how disabled customers are meant to order from the restaurant for example ...

Review of BhS (Department Stores)

£14.99 or £100.

Advantages: Excellent reference, informative photographs.
Disadvantages: Too easy for the amateur to self-diagnose.

it was necessary. The Complete Veterinary Equine Manual by Tony Pavard * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * This is an excellent book written by an experienced horse person, he is actually a vet so the content is excellent. The book starts with sections on keeping the horse healthy and preventative measures which is always a good start. There are then sections on problems and how to deal with them. As the book is written by a vet, it is very comprehensive. It is good enough reference for veterinary surgeons and students. It is also good for the average horse owner. It is in depth so that it contains enough information. The book is alphabetical and cross referenced to make research easier. There are photographs, some of them quite graphic, in colour and black and white to aid ...
