Like any Beatles Fan I found myself instantly inclined to buy into the newest game of the RockBand Series. The Game takes players on a extensive an trip through the career of the World's Greatest Selling Artists of all time, The Beatles. From the Cavern Club in their hometown Liverpool, to the Shea Stadium in New York and finally to the cold and windy rooftop of Apple Corps In London, The Beatles Rockband provides and extensive view into the Lives of the Beatles and more importantly the production of their Music. Never before seen video clips and photos, only exclusive to The Beatles RockBand, are motivation for the most devoted of fans.
To previous Rockband player the game may come across as a lil' easier than a standard Rockband Game, but the game is still open to new players not familiar with the format. Changes from other Rockband games are subtle but make the game it's own. A Key selling point of this instalment of the series is the use and development of the Vocal Harmony feature, allowing three players to simultaneously sing lead and backing vocals where available. The game offers a similar longevity to previous Rockband titles by offering Downloadable Content from Xbox Live Game Marketplace and PSN Store.
As with all previous Rockband titles the game can be played solo or with friends, the latter being more enjoyable. Both Guitar Hero and RockBand instruments can be used. There's nothing like a room of tipsy players blasting out "All You Need is Love" at the top of their voices or sitting back and chilling out with a bit of "Here Come the Sun" after a Hard Day's Ni--Work.
In my honest opinion, The Beatles RockBand will have a greater effect upon the public than previous games opening the eyes and ears of the current generation to a band that entertained millions in their prime. This game is a must get for fans of The Beatles and of the series, hopefully it'll only be a short matter of time till we hear The Rolling Stones and The Who blasting out whilst hammering away on our plastic little drum kits.
