The Beauty Shed Vanilla & Orange Cookie Body Scrub

comparable products (for example the _Shower Smoothie_ by Radox). A pastell
orange label is wrapped firmly around the tube. In bold, white capital letters it
says "The Vanilla & Orange Cookie Body Scrub" with _The_ written upside down.
There is some smaller writing below stating _"Secret ingredients... one ... more

Almost good enough to eat

What is it?
Today I am revieweing the "Vanilla & Orange Cookie Body Scrub" by The Beauty Shed.
It seems to be fairly new - I couldn't find any information about it online. I bought it
at Superdrug a month ago. It is a body scrub you can use under the shower for a nice
peeling. The special things is the cookie scent!

Why did I buy it?
The label and its pastell colour caught my attention. When I read the label and realized
it was cookie scented, I had to have it, After opening it and smelling it, it was clear
that I had to get it.

Packaging
The body scrub comes in a clear tube made of slighter thicker plastic than
comparable products (for example the Shower Smoothie by Radox). A pastell
orange label is wrapped firmly around the tube. In bold, white capital letters it
says "The Vanilla & Orange Cookie Body Scrub" with The written upside down.
There is some smaller writing below stating _"Secret ingredients... one once of
falling stars, a moment of peace and a pinch of morning sunrise."_ . That is a
very sweet and catchy description, but they really spelt ounce that way. At least
I suppose they meant ounce.
Below that it says "The Beauty Shed" in capital letters that look like they were written
by a typewriter. We also get the information that the tube contains 225ml which
equals 7.6.floz.

On the back of the label, we get some more information. The back of the label is
divided into two parts because it doesn't go all around the tube.
On the left side, It says "The Beauty Shed again" and below that we get a yellow-marked
text on how to use it.
"USE... Everyday if you can because it's really really good to buff away any dry skin.
Massage softly from left ro right top to bottom (or the other way round if you please)
and rinse with care.
Below that there is some more info on the product. It is all written in a very easy going,
young language. The text claims that the body scrub is full of "magical stuff" to
give your skin care "and probably add some happy silly thought to your day".
Then there is an "extra silly thought" that goes: "The first umbrella invented was the
toadstool... I know because a dormouse told me."
Am I the only one who doesn't find that funny?
Well, never mind. On the right side of the label we get to know that this product
should not be eaten (but it smells sooo good, please let me!), that it is for your
skin only and we are also told that it has been "tested on us, not on animals".
That is really good because I aim to buy animal testing-free products all the time.
Below that we get the ingredients, a huge barcode, the recycle sign and the address
of the manufacturer.

Using it
Despite all the strange gibberish on the bottle (which is only funny to some extent),
we have a seriously good product here. The smell is awesome - it's like Terry's
chocolate orange had a romantic date with a cookie .. in a blender someone turned
on! Ha! It has a very nice scubbring effect and it is very creamy which makes it easy
to use and gives you a pleasant time scrubbing away.
A hint of the lovely smell stays on you after using it thoroughly.
However I have to disagree with the advice on the bottle. Scrubbing is not recommended
to be done ever day. That might actually trouble your skin. Due to the intensive smell
of this scrub I recommend not using it more than twice a week anway. If you use it
daily, even if your skin can bear with it, the scent will get boring and you will start to
dislike it - at least that is how I experience it. Since this product is quite expensive,
only using it one or twice a week is a good idea anway - you will have it for long and
you won't grow bored of the smell.
Using this scrub is a pleasure!

Glyceryl stearate SE, Steatric acid, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum (Fragrance),
Acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, Hydrogenated jojoba oil, Methylparaben,
Sodium hydroxide, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben,
Denatonium benzoate, CI 77499 (Iron oxides), CI 15985 (Yellow 6), CI 19140
(Yellow 5)

Price
This was about £3.50 at Superdrug and it was available and two more varieties.
I remember the pink one, which I also had - it was Strawberry Cake scented. They
also had it has a shower and bath cream.

Advantages&DisadvantagesAdvantages

• Most awesome scent
• nice scrubbing effect, very creamy base
• The CI-numbers in the ingredients are explained
• funny stuff written on the tube, nice design

Disadvantages

• Quite expensive
• Wrong advice on the bottle
• Spelling mistake on the label

Conclusion
The advantages are far more outstanding than the disadvantages - so I only take
one star away for the bad advice. You should really *not* scrub every day.
All in all, this is a very lovely smelling, unique product in a nice package! I do
recommend it.
