Advantages: Thick plot line with plenty of twists Disadvantages: Cannot fully appreciate it on your first read!
...Enjoy reading a good mystery? Enjoy suspense, tension and twists and turns throughout the book from cover to cover? If so, then this book is for you!
Shadow is the first book of the scavenger trilogy by K.J.Parker, I will warn you now, that it will not be until the last few chapters of the 3rd book that everything will become apparent!
"He opened his eyes and looked down. He had no idea where he was. A long way below, he could see a man's body lying in churned-up mud beside a river."
Instantly we are delved straight into the plot of mystery, suspense and confusion. One man who awakens with no memory to the past, where he is…or more importantly, who HE is.

Advantages: Interesting stroyline, has lots of mystery to it Disadvantages: Have to wait until 3rd book to find out who he is, cant put it down!!!!!
...to wait until the third book to find out who he was. So I recommend you do not buy this book if you’re not gonna read them all, because its going to annoy you like hell!!
The next two books in the trilogy – Pattern and Memory – are both also priced at a RRP of £6.99 for the paperback. K. J. Parker has also written another trilogy – The Fencer Trilogy – which I would also recommend to you all if you like the sound of this one....

Advantages: None whatsoever Disadvantages: The whole book
...This book is abosolutley awful! Do not even go near it let alone buy it. The plot is awful, the books characters are weak and boring and what a stupid thing to write about. There is however one good thing to be said about it or rather its author, J.K.Rowling obviously has a great skill for writing books but has just writen about the wrong thing. J.K.Rowling should scrap the whole Harry Potter seris and start again on a completley new subject. It is also very annoying and sad to see plenty of good young minds going to waste reading the book. I personly think it should be banned. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!...
