Roald Dahl. When his name is said you will
automatically think children’s author. But in my opinion he is more than just a children’s author. His books stretch the imaginations of all to their farthest reagents with brilliant writing and imagination. I was sucked into his books by James and the giant peach. This is one of the most famous books he has ever written and has been read by millions. Also the witches which I have reviewed, made me really think and that had me hooked so when I came to read the BFG I was expecting an enthroning story with imagination and trust me it didn't disappoint.

Giants. The stereotype giant is a great big human who lives up above the clouds who is evil and the only thing s/he can say is
"fi fy fo fum I smell the blood of an Englishman"
but as in witches he has given them a whole new look.

For this he has given only one a whole new make over, the rest are as I said but this giant really surprises you.

The Plot
------------
Sophie is a little girl who is snatched away by a giant. This giant is the one I am talking about and shall we say is the nice giant.
This giant isn't like ordinary giants, no and there is one reason for this, when he saw Sophie he didn't eat her. So what was he doing there anyway in the first place? Anyway the giant takes Sophie back to the cave where he lives and shoes all about his life and trust me it's an unusual one. To find out what happens you'll just have to read the book.

Now I know that I haven't said much but if I say anymore than that it will give the whole story away.

This is one of my favorite books as if you read it shall be yours, because of the imagination and brilliance of the book. The description that hits you on the first page really makes you want to read more and the first page gives nothing away and has you guessing afterwards.

Sophie couldn't sleep.
A brilliant moon bean was slanting through a gap in the curtains. It was shining right on her pillow.
The other children in the dormitory had been asleep for hours.

this is just a little sample of the opening chapter. That sucked me in and this is very much what the whole of the first chapter is like which is good because it keeps you wanting to read and find out more. Also it's believable. This is brilliant because when the reader says it's not believable then you've lost him or her so what Dahl has done is quite good.

“Me gobbling up human beans! This I never! I is the only nice ... Giant in Giant Country. I s the BIG FRIENDLY GIANT!"

So hear we are at the end of my review and with out a doubt i can swear that you will love this book and all of its contents so go on and read this and unlock the magical world of the books.

Thanks for reading!
