Advantages great workout, track progress

Disadvantages none for me!

The Biggest Loser Game for the Wii is a workout game that came out in 2009, this game is made with the same kind of format as the very popular, The Biggest Loser tv show. I have always been into fitness so when this game became available I just had to buy it and give it a go. This game is packed with loads of helpful features that are designed to help you keep fit and have fun while doing so.

There is a range of different activities that you can take part in on this game to help you lead a healthier lifestyle and lose weight. You follow a fitness plan on this game that include a range of activities and some features on this game include workouts, recipes and challenges.
Recipes
There is a great range of recipes on this game, including main meals and even deserts that are low fat and more appealing than I thought, one of the recipes on this game is Mini Apple Gingerbread Cupcakes, these are a healthier way to eat cupcakes and tasted really good, I plan to make more of the recipes on this game, and I am really looking forward to making the Frozen Strawberry Parfait.

Workouts
There are over 100 different workouts on this game so there is really a great range of exercises to try so it is hard to get bored when you are working out. The workouts are really easy to get a hang of and are explained well, you simply copy what the people on the screen are doing. There is a calorie counter at the bottom of the screen that keeps track of how many you are burning up, I think that this is a really nice feature of the game as it motivates me to work harder and also makes me think twice before I eat something calorific like a chocolate bar or my personal weakness hobknob biscuits.

Challenges
There are 4 different challenges on this game, they are Light cycle, Hang wire, Skate or splash and highfliers, these challenges are really difficult and can take a lot of practicing to get right, these games bring out my competitive side as I want to complete them in the best way possible and I have spent quite a long time working on them.

There is also a range of fitness tips to help you with your fitness plan, you can play this game without the Wii Remote if you choose to, though you can use the Wii Balance Board for a few of the exercises and also if you have them at home, you can use an exercise board and restraint bands.

Your fitness regime is recorded on a calendar where you can view your current and previous weights along with what activities you have took part in, in the past.

Your weight is taken on this game in the same format as the tv show, your last weight and your present weight are shown on the scales so then you can see how much you have lost/gained since your previous session, this for me is very helpful as I can then evaluate what I have been doing in between weight gains and losses. The weight is measured in this game with the use of the Wii Balance Board.

The interface on this game is really easy to understand and it does not take long to navigate through to where you want to go in the game from the title screen.
