Overall I'd highly recommend Yates's for an afternoon drink. Food is served until 8pm so it's ideal for a drink and meal after work. If you're a bit younger than me then Yates's is a fun, lively place to go at night, it's just not my scene.

When I was bought a slow cooker for a wedding present i thought it was a great gift but I wasn't too sure what potential this 'gadget' had. I used it mainly for making stews and pot roasts but after a while I decided perhaps I could get more out of this cooker instead and I was getting a bit bored of using it for just the same things over and over again.
I decided to go and buy a cook book especially for slow cookers. It had to be one which I could follow easily and was in quite basic terms else I would have struggled seeing as I'm no Gordon Ramsay as far as cooking goes. I decided on this one as at first glance it looked straight forward, laid out well and it was much cheaper than the other ones.

This review is for the cookworks silver glass blender for the domestic kitchen. Impressive looking and works well, I'd say it is not a bad purchase at all for just under twenty pounds. With a million uses, we tend to abuse it only for smoothies and the occassional mass houmous making. It is actually capable of blending up many other things including tomatoes, veg etc for making homemade soups. Also the manual says you can make baby food (although thankfully none of us are at that stage in our lives yet - it is useful to know you can save money by making your own). Also fantastic for cheating on baking, especially in the cake and muffin making department when you simply can't beat the akward lumps out of the mix! But of course we are wonderful housewives with exceptional skills at the all in one methond from food tech so this very rarely ...
